Brandon is a local high school senior who came in for his session last week. Like most of my shoots, we started off in the studio. He brought in his Nikon camera and some of his matted images that he created over the summer. I always love it when seniors bring in props that are personal to them!

Then, we headed outdoors for the second part of his photo shoot. I really like the area surrounding my studio. I can do several photo shoots in the same general area, and none of the images look the same. I shot this one right in front of some construction going on across the street.

His dog, Lance, made an appearance and we got some fun shots of Brandon running him (or him running Brandon)
We attempted to get him to sit for a shot with Brandon. I think the only way I could have gotten him to look at me is if I had turned into a squirrel! It was like sensory overload for poor Lance! We did, however, manage to get some very cute pictures of the two.

Here’s mom’s favorite:

As you can tell from the previous image with his camera, Brandon loves photography! I wanted to be sure to create some portraits of him doing what he loves. This is one of Dad’s favorites:

These last 3 are some of my personal favorites. I especially love the colors and the light! This time of year is great for portraits. Too bad it won’t last much longer.
