Last week, Hayley and I headed to the studio to take her 3rd grade cheerleading pictures. We did a few poses, with and without a football and for fun, with and without eye black.
When we finished up, she put on the clothes she came in…a Texas football t shirt and black cotton pants. She loved wearing the eye black for her pictures and she asked to wear it to Wal-Mart. I thought it was really cute, so I told her to go for it!
She looked so cute, in fact, that I decided we’d head outside of the studio and take a surprise picture in the leaves for her dad, Matt, who is a huge Texas football fan. One shot turned into a 30 minute photo session. You photographers out there know exactly what I mean! You’ll say “ok, we’re done!” then on the way back inside, you see 3 other places where you want to shoot.
The plan was to take a quick picture and print it for Matt to decorate his new office area at work. Once I got home and looked through the portraits, I just couldn’t decide which one to print. So, the next day I let him see the pictures we took so he could pick a favorite. Not surprising, he couldn’t choose one! So, I decided to design a collage for him so he could have several favorites in one 8×10 desk print size.
I can’t wait for Hayley to see it! Here’s what we came up with.
